Synopsis

I. "THE KASHMIR SEASON ENDS". A Newsparade cameraman visits the Kashmir Valley. II. "LORD ALANBROOKE'S VISIT TO INDIA". Lord Alanbrooke is greeted on arrival by Admiral Mountbatten and General Auchinleck. At Lahore he reviews the 10/8th Punjab Regiment. III. "ROYAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE IN BOMBAY CELEBRATES SILVER JUBILEE". Many notables including Sir John Colville, Governor of Bombay, attend the Silver Jubilee. An exhibtion depicting the marvels of modern science opens. IV. "GRAND RALLY TO ORGANIZE WOMEN IN POST-WAR ROLES". In Bombay, Catholic women assembled to discuss the setting up of an organisation which will plan their role in India's future. V. "NEW INDIAN INDUSTRIES ENBARK ON POST-WAR PROGRAMMES". A range of examples to show that India is entering the age of mechanisation.
