Synopsis

I. "CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS OF BOMBAY HOSPITALS". Procession to mark one hundred years of distinguished service by the J.J. Hospital. II. "MADRAS ENTERTAINS THE ROYAL INDIAN NAVY". An informal social event at the Hope Club in Madras. III. "PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF INDIA HOLDS AN EXHIBITION". In Bombay, Mr. A.J. Patel, a well-known photographer, has organised a pictorial exhibition of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. IV. "INDIAN CINEMAS PROGRESS IN SIZE AND NUMBERS". An air-conditioned cinema, the first to be built in the Central Provinces, opens in Nagpur. V. "INDIA'S TRIBUTE TO THE DEFENCE SERVICES IN DELHI VICTORY PARADE". Lord Wavell lays a wreath at the war memorial in New Delhi and takes the salute as massed formations march through the Memorial Arch. Followed by a day of celebration.
