Synopsis

Short film of Indian sappers laying a railway line, Mesopotamian Front, 1918.

Flatcars carry the rails, sleepers and the troops themselves forward, as they build the line across the desert. The sappers wave and applaud for the camera. For the final shot the camera is mounted on the leading flatcar as it moves forward.
