INDIAN TROOPS CROSS IRRAWADDY AT YADAW

Synopsis
At Yadaw, twenty miles east of Shwebo, Burma, Indian troops cross the River Irrawaddy.
Two Indian soldiers load ammunition boxes onto a raft. More ammunition put on board. An outboard motor is positioned on the raft. Pan of the river. A raft with troops and stores aboard; a number of Sikhs are rowing. Starting an outboard motor. A raft pushes away from the bank. A stretcher is unloaded from a raft and carried away. The stretcher is fitted to a jeep ambulance. The jeep ambulance drives away, carrying two stretcher cases, three other men, and the driver. An inflatable dinghy is paddled. Onboard a raft carrying troops. Approaching the bank; a column of mules walks along the beach. Looking down a steep bank towards the river. A wounded man is given a drink. A stretcher case (the same man?) is carried onto a raft. Onboard the raft a man puts a blanket over a wounded (dead?) man. Gurkha infantry board a raft. Raft moves off.
