Synopsis

I. "Harvard honours Churchill." After receiving the honorary degree of Doctor of Law from Harvard University Churchill addresses a parade of Army and Navy student officers, emphasising British determination to end the war and "establish the reign of justice and law among men" throughout the world.

II. "British AA veterans in USA." Anti-aircraft gunners parade through New York at the start of their goodwill visit to the USA. Item includes stock shot material of ack-ack batteries in action.

III. "Pinpointing Pacific War news." a. Coolies construct an airfield in China without the aid of machines; China is said now to be on the offensive. b. View of large supply dump of material to be used by MacArthur's forces. c. USAAF bombing of jungle targets in New Guinea before the capture of Salamaua and Lae.

IV. "Between parades." a. Celebrations of Harvest Moon festival in New York's Madison Square Gardens includes display of waltzing and other modern dances, performed by service personnel. b. A "typical" British serviceman on leave in Alexandria spends a pleasant day with a girl, visiting the Gardens, walking through the bazaar and ending the day with a swim.
