Synopsis

I. "The other man's job. Filling ten ton Tess." Workers pack solid and liquid explosive into a 22,000 lb bomb then inscribe facetious remarks ("Tickler for Hitler," "One for Adolf") on the casing before it leaves the factory by truck. Film of large bomb explosion on viaduct near Bielefeld.

II. "Remagen Bridge collapses." Allied vehicles cross the bridge before its collapse then film of the rescue operations immediately after the disaster. Injured are lifted from between tangled girders, others are rescued from Rhine by motor-boat and rope.

III. "British storm island off Burma." Royal Marines land on Cheduba and move off across country. Wounded are embarked on Royal Indian Navy landing craft. Burmese peasants display Japanese torture marks. Air Marshal Coryton watches planes take off to attack enemy bases.

IV. "Balloons warn Germans." Bundles of Psychological Warfare Department leaflets giving warning of German towns to be bombed and including safe-conduct passes to Allied lines are attached to balloons. Before being released, time-fuses are ignited; these will explode the balloons over German territory. Commentary adds "we have repeatedly warned German civilians that their towns would be shattered and their escape routes murderously bombed."
